my baby

We got hit pretty hard this past week with sickness. Hannah got sick Sunday night so Monday she went to the doctor and got on an antibiotic. She had some kind of stomach virus with a bad cough and runny nose. I caught it right with her and got sick Monday morning. It was a very rough virus, but we're getting much better now. Hannah still has a little cough and runny nose but is acting much happier most of the time. Jon took great care of us and worked so hard!!
Here's the cutie feeling tired and just lounging in the rocker with her baby.
As you can tell, babies have become her new favorite thing. She carries them around with her and randomly lays them on the floor to pat their backs to sleep. She'll feed them too and make smacking noises with her mouth for them. It's soo cute and sweet.
Here's one of her patting a baby to sleep.

SHINE bright

As you can tell my blogs are getting further apart, but I'm still hanging in there to keep this up. We've had a very busy week once again and now it's 8:30 and I can't wait to go to bed. Monday morning Hannah hit her head on the wall. She's ok but it gave us a little scare. It was harder on me than her I think and the doctor said it's no big deal and it's the first of many bumps and bruises. yikes! :)  Tuesday I got sick and worked all week anyways and Thursday Jon hurt his back pretty bad. (Oh and Hannah is teething again too) We had Jon's brother in town this weekend visiting and that was nice, but we sure did enjoy relaxing today. These 2 pictures sum up how our week was perfectly. This was after church today, Hannah and I crashed on the blow up mattress we had for Jon's brother, so Jon took some pictures of us.

Work has been very challenging this week for me, but I'm learning how to glorify God in all I do.. or I'm trying to. :) Here is our memory verse for this week.
Matthew 5:16
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. "
It's exactly what I need to work on!! God is so amazing.

First work week

"Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. You save me with your strength those who seek refuge from their enemies." Psalm 17:7

God has been soo good to us! His love is overwhelming sometimes and I can't imagine a better family than the one he gave me.

We all officially started our new jobs/routine this week. Jon started his job and Hannah started daycare Monday while I went to work as well. I was so nervous and very emotional about leaving Hannah with someone else, but Jesus has seen us all through it. Hannah is doing great at her new school and seems to LOVE it! She has very sweet teachers and they do all kinds of fun activities throughout the day. She brings home artwork everyday that is absolutely precious! Jon is enjoying his job and is really fitting in. He works with older men but it's a great atmosphere for mentorship among Godly men.  My job is going well.. it's very very busy but the people are so welcoming.

We'll keep you posted on more. Sorry no pictures this time.

Hannah in a tree

We did a little photo shoot of Hannah in a tree that her Daddy put her in. He held onto her the whole time and she loved it.  Our friend Nathan is visiting and we're having lots of fun showing him our new town.

ice ice baby

Hannah learned the sign for 'ice'. She now asks for ice several times a day. It's supposed to be a sort of downward claw with one hand... Here is Hannah's version: It looks like a baby gang sign most of the time, but everyone laughs and she loves it!
bunny hugs! Thanks for the bunny Nana!

The zoo and such

Here's a quick update on our week: On Monday night we went out with our very close friends Andy and Jessica who were in town visiting us and Andy's brother. Then Tuesday, Daddy, Mommy, Jessica, Andy, and Hannah all went to the Atlanta zoo!! It was so much fun and Hannah absolutely loved it!

I started my new job on Wednesday and I really enjoy it. The people I work with are very welcoming and I can't wait to start working with these kids! I am a a speech therapist in an elementary, middle, and high school. I'll be traveling throughout the week to the 3 schools and I love the flexibility of it. Daddy will be starting work soon and Hannah will start her new nursery school.

Saturday night we got to hang out with Andy and Jessica one last time before they went back to Orlando and Sunday we went to church, then to lunch with aunt Steph. Here are a couple of pics from the zoo and such:
This was at the petting zoo and he was Hannah's favorite pig. She would chase him anytime he walked away from her.
this is random but I can't change the order of these.. Hannah wants to be like Daddy so she stole his book :)

On our way to the zoo.. note the purse she held on to the whole way there

He is risen!!

We've had a great weekend! God is so amazing and gave us plenty of friends and family events this weekend to make us feel at home here in GA. We went to an Easter egg hunt/bbq yesterday with family and to a great church and then a meal with friends today. Hannah had a blast at the Easter egg hunt and got the hang of it really fast. She kept laughing with pure excitement when she'd find an egg.

Once the basket got a few eggs in it, she decided it was easier to just hang it from her neck. I tried to take it off but this is how she wanted it. Every time she found an egg we'd take it off, she'd put the egg in, then put it right back on and hunt for more. :)
