The zoo and such

Here's a quick update on our week: On Monday night we went out with our very close friends Andy and Jessica who were in town visiting us and Andy's brother. Then Tuesday, Daddy, Mommy, Jessica, Andy, and Hannah all went to the Atlanta zoo!! It was so much fun and Hannah absolutely loved it!

I started my new job on Wednesday and I really enjoy it. The people I work with are very welcoming and I can't wait to start working with these kids! I am a a speech therapist in an elementary, middle, and high school. I'll be traveling throughout the week to the 3 schools and I love the flexibility of it. Daddy will be starting work soon and Hannah will start her new nursery school.

Saturday night we got to hang out with Andy and Jessica one last time before they went back to Orlando and Sunday we went to church, then to lunch with aunt Steph. Here are a couple of pics from the zoo and such:
This was at the petting zoo and he was Hannah's favorite pig. She would chase him anytime he walked away from her.
this is random but I can't change the order of these.. Hannah wants to be like Daddy so she stole his book :)

He is risen!!

We've had a great weekend! God is so amazing and gave us plenty of friends and family events this weekend to make us feel at home here in GA. We went to an Easter egg hunt/bbq yesterday with family and to a great church and then a meal with friends today. Hannah had a blast at the Easter egg hunt and got the hang of it really fast. She kept laughing with pure excitement when she'd find an egg.

Once the basket got a few eggs in it, she decided it was easier to just hang it from her neck. I tried to take it off but this is how she wanted it. Every time she found an egg we'd take it off, she'd put the egg in, then put it right back on and hunt for more. :)

another day in paradise

We had fun running errands today and continuing to unpack all the boxes. Hannah's room is finally done along with the kitchen and the living room. Whew! Mommy and Daddy's room is almost done too so yeay! It's been such a blessing to spend the past few days as a family and get to know our new town. We're still waiting to see what day mommy will go to work, but it should be soon. God is so good and He knows exactly what we need, even if we disagree at first! :) I'm so thankful to have these days with my amazing husband and sweet little girl.

Jon set up his Wii today and decided to play it a little right before Hannah went to bed. Here she is in her ducky pajamas copying Daddy while he plays tennis. She kept swinging her arm just like he was.
In this one, she is clapping for him because the audience on the game was clapping. hehe

pretty girl

Today mommy got fingerprinted and a name tag set up so soon I'll start work. (my license came in last week, Praise God!). Daddy and Hannah had fun unpacking some of the kitchen together. Here are some pics from our day:
The results of a strawberry feast...

While I was folding Hannah's laundry, she found the net that holds her dirty clothes and I put it on her head and said she looked so pretty. She loved it and then proceeded to go show Daddy who agreed that she was pretty. Hannah continued to walk around the house taking it on and off for 30 minutes! She brings so much joy and laughter to our lives and I hope this makes your day brighter. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

( I tried to add these to my post earlier, but it didn't work so here it goes)
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Here's a couple of pics of Hannah today lounging after our crazy weekend.

Hannah decided she loves her purse today and has been carrying it around the house sticking stuff in it. So far she's carried a hippo, 2 dinosaurs and a book. It's very cute and she keeps finding Daddy to give him something from her purse and then walks off so happy after he says thank you. Here she is walking down the hall with it on her way to give me something. Ignore the mess, we just moved in :)

finally home

We just got back last night at 1am from Orlando... it was a very busy weekend, but so much fun. The final load of our stuff is up here in GA so we're relieved to have that done. Hannah had another 1st b-day party with our friend's in Orlando. We also went to my friend, Alaine's wedding and got to see lots of old friends there too.
Here are some pics of Hannah at her party:

First time blogging

This is my first post. We plan to use this site to keep in touch with all of our amazing friends and family who live far away or we don't get to see very much. God has used you in our lives in so many ways and we're so thankful for each of you! I hope you enjoy our new family site!
I'll start with a quick update that we've moved to North GA. It's very recent and we're still getting used to it, but God has been so amazing through the whole thing! He has shown me LOVE in more ways than I thought possible and I'm so excited to go through this new adventure with my family.

As far as sweet Hannah... she's 1 now!! She has been doing great through all the change and even seems to enjoy it. I'll have to talk about her in another post because there's so much to say. Everyday is more amazing with her and it's incredible!!

Here are a couple of recent pics. I'm sure I'll add more as I get used to this whole blogging thing.
